Our Vision

The charm, warmth and character of our venue is the perfect setting to relax with friends or family and enjoy a refreshing drink. As you take in the breeze off the Fitzroy River in our casual family-friendly venue, let us make your experience perfect. 

Big Rock Brewing has been constructed as a place to socialise and be entertained, the obvious destination on a lazy Sunday afternoon with the family or a Friday evening to catch up with mates. All the while enjoying some of the freshest, thirst quenching, hand crafted beers available. 

The stage has been constructed and the acoustics at the brewery are fantastic. Entertainment and fun are what we believe a brewery should be. We hope to provide an array of music from local and travelling artists. Musicians and performing artists can contact us at admin@bigrockbrewing.com.au.

Our kids room has been completed and parents can supervise their children from the comfort of their table. Providing a family-friendly venue has been a huge priority throughout the business model. Non-alcoholic beverages are available as will be ice cream from one of Australia’s best ice cream producer’s, Peters Ice Cream.

An arrangement has been made with Symphony Hills winery, in Ballandean, Queensland, to provide amazing wines:  “The success of Symphony Hill wines has been exhilarating and satisfying and born out of a decade of working harder than I had ever worked in my life,” says Ewen. "The success is due to the team behind the wines, all being essential ingredients for Symphony Hill to exist and flourish. Every gold medal, every trophy and every 5-star rating bears the fingerprints of the team."

We have organized a rotation of some of the most mouthwatering food trucks in CQ. The delicacies on offer will range from fresh seafood, smoked meats, gourmet sandwiches, pizza and the list goes on.
